MARRIAGE EQUALITY
Marriage equality is an issue I have been passionate about for many years, stemming back to the commitment ceremony of some dear friends, almost 20 years ago.
Below is some information taken from the website of two celebrants from Canberra, passionate about marriage equality, who developed a logo for us to publicly share our support.
I am so delighted that marriage in Australia is now all about love, and not gender!
"Celebrants displaying this logo have a policy of treating the LGBTI community with dignity and respect. They support the Marriage Equality movement and same sex marriage. The logo combines easily recognised symbols: wedding rings, rainbow colours, and the equal sign. It was initiated and designed specifically for celebrants by Judy Aulich and Charles Foley, so that members of the LGBTI community, and also those who support marriage equality, can easily find celebrants who will welcome their business."
